It was announced yesterday (Tuesday Oct 1, 2013) that famous novelist Tom Clancy passed away at age 66.

A former insurance broker, Clancy followed his dream by become a writer releasing his first novel “The Hunt for Red October” in 1984.  Since then he has written over 60 books showing a passion for navy history, military science, and crazy espionage.

Clancy isn’t just known for his books but for his  ridiculously popular video games. For instance, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 (which has over six different versions), Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell ( over six versions) and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon (over six versions).
